FCSO MAKES ARREST IN CAST STREET SHOOTING
SUBJECT:Saquawn Monte Lacy, age 22, of 1410 Old Mars Bluff Road, Florence, SC 29506 was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on December 20, 2013 and charged with Attempted Murder (S.C. Code Section 16-03-029). See FCSO Booking Website for additional details.
NARRATIVE:Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Saquawn Monte Lacy and charged him with the December 18, 2013 shooting at a club located at 1408 Cast Street in Florence County. Lacy is charged with attempted murder. According to Investigators, Lacy allegedly fired a number of shots from a handgun striking the victim in the hip. Following the shooting, the victim was able to make his way to a nearby residence where EMS was called, and he was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The victim remains in the hospital, but the injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
Lacy is being held at the Florence County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing.
