FCSO INVESTIGATES DEADLY HOME INVASION

The Florence County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly home invasion which occurred in the early morning hours today at 113 South Keith Street in Timmonsville, SC. Deputies received a call at approximately 2:15 A.M. regarding a shooting which occurred during an attempted burglary at the location. When Deputies arrived on scene, it was discovered that the resident had shot the suspect inside the residence. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

During the investigation, Investigators determined that the handgun used to shoot Wilson was stolen. Deputies arrested Nakia Malik Johnson, age 19 of 113 South Keith Street Timmonsville, SC 29616 and charged him with Possession of a Stolen Firearm (S.C. Code Section 16-23-030). Johnson is being held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

The investigation into this matter is ongoing and additional charges and arrests are possible.
