FORMER FCDC OFFICER CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
SUBJECT: David Kenan Timmons, age 36, of 1730 National Cemetery Road, Florence, SC 29501 was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on March 27, 2019 and charged with one count of Assault and Battery, Third Degree (S.C. NARRATIVE: Florence County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have charged a former corrections officer with the Florence County Detention Center with Assault & Battery (Third Degree) (S.C. Code Ann. 16-03-600(E)(1)). According to Investigators, on or about March 23, 2019, David Kenan Timmons is alleged to have been involved in a physical altercation with an acquaintance at his home on National Cemetery Road near Florence, SC. The alleged incident occurred when Timmons was off duty and was not work related.
Timmons’ employment with the Florence County Detention Center has been terminated. Timmons was released from the Florence County Detention Center today on a personal recognizance bond which was set by a Florence County Magistrate.
