FCSO INVESTIGATES DEATH OF CHILD
Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death of a child left for a period of time in a vehicle this weekend. According to Investigators, on Sunday, May 25, 2014 a 13 month old child was left in a vehicle for approximately an hour and a half before being discovered by the parents. Investigators state that the child was immediately taken by the parents to an area hospital for treatment in critical condition. The child died early this morning.
Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken has ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. The incident remains under investigation by the FCSO and the Coroner’s Office.
