FCSO AND FLORENCE COUNTY CORONER INVESTIGATE APPARENT HOMICIDE
On December 29, 2019 at approximately 1:27 AM Florence County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle at the Greenwood Athletic Park located at 2711 Pamplico Highway, Florence, SC. Upon arrival, deputies found one occupant of the vehicle who appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound. The Florence County Coroner’s Office responded and pronounced the occupant dead at the scene. The case is being investigated as a homicide.
Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken has ordered an autopsy be performed upon the body of the deceased at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. The name of the deceased will be released by the Coroner’s Office.
