FCSO Investigators Charge Two In Fatal Shooting

SUBJECT: Frederick Allen, age 29, of 1050 K.W. Hodge Road, Manning, SC 29102 was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Accessory Before the Fact of a Felony (S.C. Code Section 16-1-40). See FCSO Booking Website for additional information.
NARRATIVE: Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of a Florence man which occurred on June 4, 2014. According to Investigators, FCSO deputies responded to a 911 call that a victim was shot on Candy Lane near the intersection of Leigh Lane in Florence County at approximately 8:15 PM yesterday. Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken identified the victim as 33 year old Edward Windham of Florence, SC.
Investigators have arrested Cory Nettles Allen and his brother, Frederick Allen, both of 1050 K.W. Hodge Road, Manning, SC in connection with the incident. Corey Nettles Allen is charged with Murder and Frederick Allen is charged with Assessory Before the Fact of a Felony. Both suspects were taken into custody at the scene and will remain at the Florence County Detention Center until a bond hearing is scheduled before a Circuit Court Judge.
