FCSO INVESTIGATES DEADLY SHOOTING INCIDENT
Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office and the Florence County Coroner’s Office are investigating a deadly shooting which occurred earlier this morning. At approximately 5:15 AM FCSO deputies responded to a call of a shooting at the Florence Inn & Suites located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 76 and I-95. Upon arrival deputies discovered that one victim had been shot and was being transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The Florence County Coroner’s Office is withholding the name of the deceased pending the notification of next of kin. As additional information is available, this release will be supplemented.
This incident remains under investigation.
