SUBJECT: Kareem Marquis Davis, age 19, of 2307 Primrose Street, Florence,
SC was arrested by Investigators with the Florence County Sheriffs Office on May 2, 2021 and charged with Trafficking in Heroin (S.C. Code Ann. 44-53-370(e)(3)), Trafficking in Cocaine Base (S.C. Code Ann. 44-53-375(C)(1)(a)), Trafficking in Cocaine (S.C. Code Ann. 44-53-370(e)(2)(c), Possession of a Stolen Pistol (S.C. Code Ann. 16-23-030) and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime (S.C. Code Ann. 16-23-490). See FCSO Booking Website for additional details.
NARRATIVE: In a joint undercover narcotics operation conducted by the Florence County Sheriff's Office Narcotics and Criminal Enforcement Unit and the Florence Police Department Narcotics Division a search warrant was executed on May 2, 2021 at 526 South Ballard Street, Florence, SC. SWAT units from both agencies assisted.
The search of the premises yielded a large quantity of illegal narcotics, firearms and U.S. currency. According to Narcotics Investigators, approximately 80 grams of crack cocaine, 17 grams of heroin, 144 grams of cocaine and 241 grams of marijuana were seized. In addition, three (3) guns with multiple high capacity magazines were seized along with U.S. currency (see attached photograph). One of the guns was reported as stolen.
As a result of the search, Kareem Marcus Davis, Demetrick Lee Barr and Henry Tyrone Davis, Jr. were arrested at or near the scene and charged as indicated above. All three suspects are being held at the Florence County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing.
This investigation is ongoing and additional arrests and charges are possible.
