Investigators with the Florence County Sheriffs Office have charged Raheim Rajuan Taylor with two counts of Murder, two counts of Attempted Murder and Discharging a Firearm into a Vehicle in connection with the April 6, 2021 incident on U.S. Highway 76 near Timmonsville, SC. According to Investigators, Taylor is alleged to have multiple fired rounds from an AT-47 rifle into a gray Honda which claimed the lives of Lydia Thompson and Malik Askins. Thompson and Askins were pronounced dead at the scene. Two juveniles were also in the vehicle at the time of the attack, but were not physically harmed.
Thompson was served with these additional charges at the Florence County Detention Center earlier today where he was being held without bond on charges by the Timmonsville Police Department for Attempted Murder and Discharging a Firearm into a Vehicle in March of 2021.
Thompson will continue to be held at the Florence County Detention Center pending a bond hearing before a Circuit Court judge.
