CONNECTICUT MAN
CHARGED WITH STOLEN FIREARMS
SUBJECT: Angel Rafael Garcia Francisco, age 20, of 152 Cherry Street, Waterbury, Connecticut was arrested by FCSO on February 6, 2024 and charged with three (3) counts of Possession of a Stolen Pistol (S.C. Code Ann. 16-23-030) and Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana (S.C. Code Ann. 44-53-370(a)). See FCSO Booking Website for additional information.
NARRATIVE: On February 6, 2024 FCSO Deputies assigned to the Criminal Enforcement Unit (CEU) conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation on a commercial passenger bus on northbound I-95 near the 164 mile marker. A probable cause search of the luggage compartment of the bus resulted in the discovery of multiple stolen handguns and marijuana. According to deputies, two handguns were found to have been stolen out of jurisdictions in Florida. In addition, one firearm, an AR-15 rifle had the serial number obliterated. Angel Rafael Garcia Francisco was arrested and charged with Possession of a Stolen Pistol and Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
Francisco is being held at the Florence County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing.
