FCSO Deputies Arrests Subject Who Fired on Spouse and Deputies

 

SUBJECT:Michael Jordan, age 34, of 1350 S. Sansbury Road, Timmonsville, SC was arrested  by Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office on September 4, 2014 and charged with Criminal Domestic Violence (S.C. Code Section 16-25-020), six counts of Attempted Murder (S.C. Code Section 16-03-029), six counts of Possession of a Weapon During Commission of a Violent Crime (S.C. Code Section 16-23-490), Malicious Injury to Personal Property (S.C. Code Section 16-11-510(A)) and two counts of Discharging a Firearm into a Vehicle (S.C. NARRATIVE: On September 4, 2014 at approximately 6:38 PM Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of domestic dispute with shots fired at 213 Sally Hill Road, Timmonsville, SC.  Upon arrival at the scene, multiple deputies were fired upon multiple times by the suspect, who had barricaded himself in the residence.  

 

Deputies from the FCSO Patrol Division, PACE, CEU and SWAT responded to the scene.  Following a brief standoff, the suspect, later identified as Michael Jordan, surrendered to deputies and was taken into custody.  At least two vehicles at the scene were struck by gunfire from Jordan.  No one was injured in the incident and FCSO did not return fire.  

 

Jordan will likely appear before a Florence County Magistrate for bond consideration tomorrow.
